(above is a picture of a flamingo that was for sale in the gallery!)FUN SIGN SURPRISE was contacted by a very well-known art gallery in Apollo Beach - SOUTH SHORE GALLERY - to promote a special event.
The *PINK* flamingos that we put out this morning before the gallery opened should have definitely gotten alot of attention along the well-traveled Apollo Beach Blvd.
South Shore Gallery showcases artwork from over 150 North American artisans. The art ranges from portraits, painting, woodworking, jewelry, furniture, glasswork, and custom pieces. I had the opportunity to spend a few minutes inside the gallery today.. and I was amazed at the range of artwork displayed.
As a side note, I learned specifically about one local artist ... - Fred Rothenbush. Rothenbush is a local Ruskin resident many of his paintings are displayed in the gallery. Rothenbush has been commissioned to paint portraits for the last of our FIVE presidents! He was also commissioned by Elvis Presley to paint a portrait of Elvis' mother.. and that portrait still hangs in Graceland today..
